Refine Filters works fine, just install it. It will appear in the sidebar.

You'll need to hard code, edit skin/reboot/custom/header/header_mega_menu.tpl

The reBOOT advanced testimonials and mega menus combo addons are now free, just click here to request files (addons tab).

My tired eyes seem to prefer what you have done on the demo site you made for the Mega Menus. So can we make the Vertical Mega Menu work with reBOOT?

I second this...

I do not support that module, install at your own risk.

I am not planning on adding dynamic search for manufacturers and categories.

I am working on a new menu module for reBOOT, which includes the traditional vertical flyout menus/dropline menu/mega menu/horizontal drodown menu and all will be responsive. I'll announce here when it's available.

If you can design an unordered list in HTML, then yes you can make up your own menus if you wish. It would have to done manually (hard coded), ie. there won't be a facility to customise the layout.

In order to customise the products results, you will need to modify skin/common_files/modules/Infinite_Scroll/product.tpl

But, after some testing and consideration, I have decided to not support this module...

1) It does not blend in well with reBOOT - Product Grid/Row switchers will not work with it.
2) I cannot see how this module is SEO friendly at all
3) I don't want it to undermine the SEO effectiveness of reBOOT

It should be fairly straightforward. Your blog needs to be in /blog and you do not need to modify /blog.php

Have you added the important code to your root .htaccess ?

The addon is based on this article.

As for alteredcart's onsale module, I have not tested, but I imagine it will work fine. I'm not sure whether it conflicts with the built-in on sale module, as I've heard they share the same module name.

I have send this to alterdcart.Bill told me that "I'm not aware of any conflicts with these module, nor can I think of anything that would even be a potential conflict. You shouldn't have any problems running the modules together"

But please confirm me if it is compatible with reboot or not? No problem occurs please let me know.

Thanks.

Re: X-Cart - reBOOT - Responsive Template

Anyone wishing to use the Popup Anywhere module with reBOOT, install the module in the usual manner, then in...

skin/reboot/customer/content.tpl

Add this code to the bottom...

Code:

{if $active_modules.Popup_Anywhere}
{include file="modules/Popup_Anywhere/popups.tpl"}
{/if}

WARNING, ensure you have the latest version of the Popup Anywhere module for your version of X-Cart.

I installed it on v4.6.0 and it screwed up the admin display, as the patches were for an older version, SO BEWARE!

Their reply-

Since it only deals with the display side will rarely conflict with any module. You should not have any conflicts with the Reboot skin and any alteredCart module.

The On Sale module doesn't have any name conflicts with the name On Sale. Technically, in the code the alteredCart module is alteredCart_On_Sale. It was changed about a year ago to prevent the conflict.

So I am ready to purchase Alterdcart On sale and
alteredCart One Page Checkout for X-Cart.

Thanks for a nice template.

Xtech

I can confirm that Altered Carts OPC and Cash Rewards modules both work with Reboot without any issues. We have both running live.

Just a couple of tweeks to remove a Navigation label that appeared in the top menu and a css tweek to remove auto height from images to remove the large black square in the cart total field.

Quite simple, you need to adjust the media queries in skin/reboot/css/reboot.css

The container class is .container

So for example, replace...

Code:

/* Extra Large Desktops */
@media only screen and (min-width: 1824px) and (max-width: 3000px) {
    ul.grid_view li { width: 25%; }
}

With...

Code:

/* Extra Large Desktops */
@media only screen and (min-width: 1824px) and (max-width: 3000px) {
    ul.grid_view li { width: 25%; }
    .container { width: 1600px; }
}

Then repeat for the various screen sizes.

The product columns are controlled by this CSS, also the media queries section...

Code:

ul.grid_view li { width: 25%; }

So for 5 columns, you need to change to...

Code:

ul.grid_view li { width: 20%; }

1-2 weeks, work permitting. I will announce here.

The only way you'll be able to control category layout, will be by adjusting the category 'orderby' fields.

Quick mod to add thumbnail tooltips to next/previous product links...

skin/reboot/custom/product_next_prev.tpl

Replace entire code with...

Code:

{if $prev.productid || $next.productid}
<ul class="pager">
<li class="previous"><a class="ttip_n" title="<img src='image.php?type=T&id={$prev.productid}' style='height:75px' alt='{$prev.product}'>" href="product.php?productid={$prev.productid}"><i class="icon-angle-left"></i> {$prev.product}</a></li>
<li class="next"><a class="ttip_n" title="<img src='image.php?type=T&id={$next.productid}' style='height:75px' alt='{$next.product}'>" href="product.php?productid={$next.productid}">{$next.product} <i class="icon-angle-right"></i></a></li>
</ul>

How does the width of this Template work?

In other words, is there a minimum & maximum width setting for desktops & tablets? In the past, Ive made sites about 960 width, so the format could be controlled.

I'm concerned that if it is completely responsive, how can you make a site look good for both 800 width & 1500 width screens?
