I saw this few days ago - it does the same for me. It is IP based - as if I use my phone it connects just fine... I wanted to ask Phil if I am blocked for some reason and I keep forgetting...

I have a very odd issue with reboot or the owl carousel. This is a 4.6.6 install with reboot 3.

When the home slider loads initially the slider gets set to the same height as the width of the slide. When it transitions to the next slide (in this case I have 2) the height gets corrected.

any ideas what the problem could be?

Maybe ask Phil for the current version and see if it goes away. I remember seeing my slider do that in the past when I was developing my 4.6.6 site and reBOOT was upgraded a few times and it just went away.

DrQuietus, try disabling 'auto height' in reBOOT settings > Slider.

Development of the slider script (Owl Carousel 2) ground to a halt, so we're going to be using better, alternative slider code for reBOOT v4 +

I just got 4.7.2 running with reBOOT 3.5.1. Every product in the store now has a "NEW" ribbon. Where are the controls for that. Anyone, please.

This is a site update, and I don't want everything showing up as new. I found skin/reboot/custom/product_promo_ribbons.tpl and can turn it off there, but I really just want it off for now.

Try going to Modules --> New Arrivals and edit the configuration for New Arrivals.

I don't see "New Arrivals" as an X-Cart Module, and I'm not finding it in the reBOOT section. Can you give me a click path to where it should be. This is a new install, and maybe I messed up something.

New Arrivals is part of the Hot Products Module. https://help.x-cart.com/index.php?title=X-Cart:X-HotProducts

This module comes a part of Gold Plus and Platinum.

Now I don't feel so bad about not being able to find this control ;-).

I'm X-Cart Gold Classic, and the module is a $99 adder for me. It's not part of my 4.7.2 distribution. reBOOT should not assume we all have this module and put up ribbons we have no control over.

Looks like my template edit to remove the ribbons in skin/reboot/custom/product_promo_ribbons.tpl needs to be permanent. For anyone else needing to do this, just comment out everything.

Hi Phil, On my site the main image on the product page is displaying the detailed image rather than the image I loaded as the main image.

This is a problem for product variants as the image is not switching to show the variant images.

Could you please let me know how to fix this.

My Brother-in-law is having the same issue. Until Phil replies try the following.

Does anyone else get double line spacing on order invoices?

We use integrated labels and sometimes they don't fit the peel off bit as invoice lines are now spaced wrong?.

reBOOT v4 is coming along nicely. Bear in mind, we're re-building it from the ground up.

We're bringing Bootswatch - themes into the mix, along with other cool stuff that we'll announce along the way.

We hope to release around July. Updates will be free. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let us know by PM.

In the mega menu the image URLs from $categories_menu_list are from /images/C.cache.catthumbn/. I would prefer these to be served from our CDN. Where is this Smarty var being set? And have you done this already, to save me the time of patching the php?

I made this change and I'm now showing the product image rather than the detailed image. However, my variant images are still not showing when the detailed images are enabled. ON the customer site, when variant are selected only the primary image shows.

Phil or Paul, do you know how to fix this?

This is working fine on my Brother-In-Law's site using reBOOT 3.4.1 on x-cart 4.6.6

-Product Image shows Product Image (with my change above)
-Variant Images show and change as expected on customer side
-Detailed Images show

I was wondering how to change the blog urls? I know changing the permalink settings via the blog admin will break the links. I looked at the htaccess for the reboot template but couldn't figure out how to change it to get it to work with the post name as the url.

Has anyone done this?

Hi Dave, just change the permalink setting in WP admin, but after that, ensure /blog/.htaccess is blank.

Or you can make /blog/.htaccess non-writable by changing permissions on it to 444.

You can also use a WP plugin like Yoast to tweak URLs and SEO.

Hosted MP4 videos will be possible in v4. For now you'll have to make do with youtube and vimeo.

This template is looping javascript on every image on the page including the sliders. Is there anyone who knows what is causing this? It's happening on the demo site as well. If I resize the window it takes a few seconds to refresh, too.

What can i do for the site images to load faster?

Style lost when "Use speed-up tool for CSS" is checked
 

I have two 4.7.2 sites setup, both with reBOOT 3.5.1. I developed the sites with the "Use speed-up tool for CSS" option in X-Cart admin unchecked because I can use all the nice Firefox tool add-ons during development.

Now that one of the sites has gone live, I checked the speed-up tool box. Style based on the edited theme css file disappeared. In my case I used 02.css. Below is an image link to the before and after site appearance of the live site. I'm not sure if other reBOOT css files are no longer working.

I went to my other development url (zzzzap.com) and the same is happening there.

Does anyone have experience with this? Any advice about what I can do to use CSS minifying after the site is live? Thanks.
