X-Cart 4.4 beta testing
 

Dear Everyone,

We are glad to announce that X-Cart 4.4. beta has been released and is now available to be tried out.
Taking part in the beta-testing will help you to get to know the new features of X-Cart 4.4, check whether the new product works fine in your specific environment, and prepare for the final release. Your active participation would help us to make X-Cart 4.4 stable faster.

The demo version of X-Cart PRO is available at http://dev.qtmsoft.com/~joy/demo_pro/
The demo version of X-Cart GOLD is available at http://dev.qtmsoft.com/~joy/demo/

Testing will last until August 3 2010. The distribution package for the beta version can be downloaded from the File Area -> Product Files -> X-Cart -> X-Cart 4.4.0 beta. The package might be updated as we fix the issues found during the testing.

Upgrade-packs for upgrading to X-Cart 4.4 from the earlier versions will be provided with the final version only. This is due to the fact that we expect a lot of code changes during the beta-testing stage.

May be good AJAX based checkout is enabled in the demo store. By default. Anyway, will spend sometime this week end & find out more.

Just a quick note: When i clicked the bugtracker, it says "APPLICATION ERROR #805

The username is invalid. Usernames may only contain latin letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, and underscores(at least 3 symbols must be presented).

Please use the "Back" button in your web browser to return to the previous page. There you can correct whatever problems were identified in this error or select another action. You can also click an option from the menu bar to go directly to a new section."

I've got it downloaded and I'll be setting it up over this coming weekend on a dev box. *fingers crossed*

Thank you. We will set the AJAX based checkout as the default one in the nearest future.

The issue with bugtracker is fixed now. Thank you. The combination of the first name and last name in your account profile was too long (33 characters instead of allowed 32). You can also change your account settings here: https://bugtracker.qtmsoft.com/account_page.php

1. sitemap.php
first category comparing to other categories does not show properly.

2. how to let Home does not link to home.php, instead, link to root. same as logo link.

3. Recently Viewed product pictures show big picture. very ugly.

In the demo, adding a shipping address does not allow selection of a shipping method.

Is their anyway we can use the modules for 4.3? I'm assuming not since the modules are already built into the version.

I'm really glad to here that there is an XML sitemap module, hopefully I will finally get google to accept my sitemap now :)

anyone one else have errors when using web master mode i keep getting this error -

Cannot read file: please check the read permissions.

All permissions were fine on install, just thought id ask first before reporting as a bug.....thanks
