Module Enable/Disable Functionality

I have added an enable checkbox in adminside for the module. How to make this functionality work like if enable is unchecked, then how to make sure that everything from the module/plugin is disabled?

What functionality you want to disable/enable?

Added this checkbox in shipping method admin settings.
I want control to enable/disable this entire shipping module based on the checkbox value which is set.

Issue resolved. Using the default module enable/disable feature in module listing page.
