Custom script to pull in TaxCloud data
 

Hi X-Cart community -

I have a need to put together some custom functionality. I've tried to talk my org into switching over to using Avalara or Tax Jar (which seems to have good support with XCart v5), but my org has been using TaxCloud and wants to stay with them for Sales Tax calculations.

I know what TaxCloud has an API to get real-time rates...but I'm lost as to how to get this set up inside XCart 5. I worked on a moderately modded xCart v4 store a few years ago, and version 5 is completely different on the backend.

I don't even know where to start with this - any help would be greatly appreciated!

Install the TaxJar module and see how it's done. Code your own module for TaxCloud based on that.
