X-Affiliate or iDevAffiliate?
 

Please share you thoughts on having to select between X-affiliate and iDevAffiliate.

really depends on what you are after, x-affiliate is pretty basic, it will do the job if all you need is to keep track of affiliates. It's also intergrated into x-cart more directly.

Idevaffiliate is huge and allows you to do more specialised things, it also has automated batch functions for paying your affiliates automatically.

Horses for courses, if you need something to get you by, x-affiliate will do, if you're looking at doing something on a larger scale i-dev will probably suit you better.

Especially this aspect is what is lacking in X-Affiliate; I also noticed iDev has plenty of features which are way too far going for my needs but the automatic paying facilities is great.

Are there any users who have integrated iDevAffiliate with X-Cart (is this possible?) or use it in another way and who want to share their experiences?

According to the iDev folks, they will be releasing a version in December 2006 that will allow individual product selection for the affiliates similar to the X-Cart version. I want my affliliates to be able to choose individual products with links directly to the product pages. We'll see, but I hope they live up to the expectation.
