Edit skin/reboot/custom/footer/footer_LT.tpl

Code:

<a class="twitter-timeline" width="100%" height="200" href="https://twitter.com/{$config.reboot.reboot_social_twitter}" data-widget-id="392026396958007297">Tweets by @{$config.reboot.reboot_social_twitter}</a>

Change data-widget-id="392026396958007297" to your widget ID
Create a widget at https://twitter.com/settings/widgets
Info at https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-timelines

No, reBOOT v2 uses a simple embedded Twitter timeline. Just perform the above.

I highly recommend the new version. It is far superior to any other around.

Hi Phil,
In my store I have seen in any category or manufacturer page in products sections product is loading first in row view then in grid view and it is taking some time to change from row view to grid view,though I set Default products view to grid view from admin Products Display options.

Why this is happening can you please help me?

Also how to get reboot version 2.2?

Thanks.

Could be due to..

1) Slow server response
2) Loading too many products on one page at once
3) Something else slowing the page down, such as a huge category menu

Try using Firebug's "Net" tab to see if there are any bottlenecks.
Ensure the reBOOT image lazy loader is enabled.
Ensure the JS/CSS speedup tools are enabled in general settings.
Try optimising as much as possible, enable GZIP etc.

Quick fix for the gift wrapping tooltip on the one page checkout...

Upload this file to skin/reboot/lib/cluetip

Hi Phil,
I'm putting the final touches on v2.2 and just want to thank you for creating such a great template. reBOOT v1 was great but reBOOT v2.2 is absolutely fantastic and very polished.
Thanks again! Paul

I have to chirp in here to agree - reBOOT 2.2 is a truly superior template. So many features that one needs to show restraint. Thank you, Phil.

I tried it twice. Do you think it may have something to do with the .htaccess file already edited from cdseo? The text you provide to search for is not in there.

Is there any way to display this ups map under the shipping quotes in the checkout page? I don't want people to pick the express if they are 1 day anyhow.

Here is the map in question.. it could be sized to fit properly of course.

The Social Feeds module has not yet been tested with reboot.
If you get in touch I can test it for you and provide the relevant fix.

The Socialize module does work, but I've noticed the product social share buttons has become slightly buggy. This could be due to the social networks (Facebook in particular) updating their code.

You can still use the Facebook comments feature for your products reviews. Also, reBOOT has its own independant social sharing buttons for the product pages. The Socialize module will be re-tested / evaluated with reBOOT when v4.6.2 is released shortly.

The Socialize module does add a fair amount of overhead (check with Firebug & YSlow), it's up to you whether you want to use it or not.

Hi Phil

Do we need to change anything within the reboot module to allow the new version of Refine Filters to show on the home page (new feature).

You need to add the following to skin/reboot/customer/main/welcome.tpl
Code:

{if $active_modules.Refine_Filters}
  {include file="modules/Refine_Filters/home_products.tpl"}
{/if}

See attached patch also (thanks David).

Re: X-Cart - reBOOT - Responsive Template

GOOD NEWS! reBOOT is now available on GitHub for developer licence holders, which enables you to obtain the latest files anytime you wish.

Any changes to the template will be immediately synced to the repository.

Files are in a private repository, so if you wish to have access, send me your name, order ID, email address and GitHub user ID.

If you do not have the developers licence, you can upgrade by simply purchasing an additional licence.

Hi,
Thank you for sharing files.It will be better now.

I have a small question I have seen X cart Form builder in your site http://www.xcartmods.co.uk/x-cart-form-builder.html If I want to add it in our reboot template in 4.6.1?

It is very good if you release this type of addons in reboot.I want to use custom form in reboot.

Thank you very much.

That's an old mod, but I may update it in the near future.

You can easily create complex forms for Bootstrap with this tool. Then I would use something like Forms to Go to create the PHP form script.

Or you could try Machform.

Re: X-Cart - reBOOT - Responsive Template

I have a ticket submitted, but I think it may have gotten lost.

We are a 100% digital store. In our previous store, we had it set so that the quantity, by default, was one and you couldn't do anything with it. Is there a way to disable or not show quantity throughout the store?

You had replied back that we would need to edit skin/reboot/customer/main/product_details.tpl

<span class="product-one-quantity">1</span>
<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="1" />

{if $product.distribution ne ""}
{$lng.txt_product_downloadable}
{/if}

However, I tried deleting that code, and it doesn't change anything. We need every reference of quantity hidden. Product page, product list, related and also bought areas.

How do I remove the Buy Now button and "Set your own price!
The price for this product is not set. You can decide how much you want to pay." text?

I found this in xCart, but your templates are different.

http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=68303&page=2& ... product+is

Will you be adding the option for the wish list button to show on the Related/Also bought areas? This was brought up in our customer validation as something they expected to be there.

Thank you.

If all your products are digital, then the quantities will always be 1 and it should hide the quantity dropdown/field, example.

If there's no prices, the 'set your own price!' label can be commented out from skin/reboot/customer/main/products_t.tpl

You can remove the 'buy now' buttons in general settings > appearance, or customise skin/reboot/customer/main/products_t.tpl - OR - skin/reboot/customer/main/buy_now.tpl

The 'add to wishlist' button has just been added for related/also bought tabs, see attached file (skin/reboot/customer/simple_products_list.tpl), example.

We are using the Altered Carts Download Expander however. I am assuming that is what is causing the difference? How do we work around it?

Thank you for all the other replies! I really appreciate it. You've been incredibly helpful through our installation and customization and I highly recommend your template and services.

Small fix for the Facebook social sharing button, so that the FB comments box is fully visible onclick... (reBOOT v2.x).

skin/reboot/css/reboot.css

After...
Code:

#social .pinterest-pinit { margin-top: 40px; }
Insert...
Code:

div.fb_edge_widget_with_comment { width: 450px!important; }
.fb_iframe_widget, .fb_iframe_widget span, .fb_iframe_widget iframe[style] { min-width: 450px!important; }
