Updating Send to Friend and Checkout page form backgrounds
 

Hi Everyone,

I am new to xcart and have been tweeking my site for a couple of weeks now however there are 2 spots on my site that I cant figure out how to update and I have tried everything I can think of at this point and also researched other questions in the forum.

My problem seems like it should be very simple...I just want to add a background image to the "Send to Friend/Customers Also Bought/Customer Feedback" boxes on the Product Details page and the "Name and Address/Payment Method" boxes on the Checkout page.

I assumed this would be controlled somewhere in the MAIN.css file, but nothing I have tried seems to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Firebug / FF to find out the exact file and css class. There are few css files not just one

Thanks, This is a very helpful tool and I was able to make the modifications.

One question though. Can someone explain what the strikethrough text means in the CSS window of the tool. Not sure about that.

It means there is another place with the same class overwritting this property with new value

Where does the tool show which .css file the code is referencing. I see that it lists some file names on the far right side, but those seem to be temporarily generated files.

You need to disable the CSS optimization while you are debugging CSS: http://help.qtmsoft.com/index.php?title=X-Cart:General_Options#CSS_and_JavaScript_optimizati on_tools

Then, Firebug will show you the path to the file when you mouse-over the css file name

I wish I had this tool starting 2 weeks ago it would have saved me a lot of time!!
