People use it all the time, it comes as part of Marketing Manager Pro. The thing to keep in mind is the Ebay Description Generator is designed for manually listing items.

What it does is you select a product you want a description generated for it then merges that products info into the template you select and rewrites the links so they link back to your site for the images and so forth. Then you simply copy and paste the HTML wherever you want, in the ebay case you would copy it into the description box.

You can see it in action as part of the Marketing Manager Demo which is on the left menu on http://www.firetanksoftware.com

You can use it for ebay auction descriptions, newsletter description, general fancy descriptions. Basically if you want to make a quick layout based on your products data it can be used for that.

I wouldn't bother putting time into this. Most eBay sellers are looking for a way out. Fees have risen, buyers aren't buying like they used to, new rule to hold your own money for 21 days, buyer only being able to leave negative feedback, etc... Have you tried Amazon? That's where many are going now.

I can't wait for the May boycott.

Thats all very true, Ebay is changing the game considerably.

Ironically your X-cart store is your way out of ebay. I went through a phase selling on ebay many many years ago in a gadget business.

One day I totted up all the fees, costs etc. Closed my ebay store started my x-cart store and never looked back!

I deal with many customers who use ebay to clear lots which don't sell on thier site but they don't focus on ebay anymore and prefer to drive customers back to thier x-cart store.

Interesting we use both and the ebay brings in a lot more than the xcart store. BTW, we do use your ebay module and it works great!
