With today's release of v4.6.5, which has FontAwesome included admin-side, I put this fun little free mod together...

FontAwesome Category Icons

• Enables FontAwesome icons customer-side and allows you to use font category icons instead of images
• Based on FontAwesome v4.2.0 with 479 icons to choose from
• Icon searchers and colour pickers included
• You can still use image category icons alongside font category icons if you wish
• Made for X-Cart v4.6.5, but can be used on earlier v4.6.x versions
• Easy install, responsive
