Delay Payment in X-Payments
 

Is there any way to delay the charging process in X-Payments.
I am not looking to void or just authorize payments.
I dont want the card authorized or charged at the time of purchase.
Once I am sure the items are available in the order, I will be able to charge the order.

I am using version GoldPlus 4.5.4

You have to set the payment gateway to "auth only" then when you are ready you can capture the order. Keep in mind though that this means CC details will be stored in XP database so you need to setup the cron to clear all CC info after certain period of time

Depending on your gateway, you can set to have all transactions "authorize only" or "preAuth" or in the case of Elavon: "Pend" (short for pending)

We use Elavon, and they set the default for ALL transactions to pend (auto-pend).

We then have to "unpend" (capture) all transactions. It's a very easy process -- we log into the gateway, press a checkbox to select all of the day's trasnactions, and then "unpend" -- but if an order didn't ship, we can exclude it. We can also make price adjustments (customer downgraded from 3 pieces to 2 pieces), or make voids.

Yes, it's a separate login. BUT -- it's also a different set of eyes on the money.
