Adding custom fields to user profile (date of birth, gender) - X-Cart 5
 

I am looking to collect information associated with a customer's profile, such as Date of Birth, Gender and Subscribe to Email Newsletter. I am aware that I can add custom fields to a customer's Address Book, but these do not seem to be appropriate custom fields for the Address Book. Is there a recommended way to collect this information at New Account Registration?

In X-Cart 5.x you can add custom address fields that appear during checkout, but there is no user interface to change the fields that appear on the user registration form. However, this can be developed in a custom module.
