Changing payment module name to "Credit Card"
 

Isn't there a way to change the module name that the customers sees during checkout? I'm setting up XP using Virtual Merchant through Elavon and the option for customers to select for credit card is "Virtual Merchant - Merchant Provided Form". There must be a way to change this to something basic like "Credit Card". My customers wouldn't be comfortable clicking on an option like "
Virtual Merchant - Merchant Provided Form". That's if they even knew that this option was for credit cards since it makes no mention of it. I renamed "Name" to "Credit Card" on the Payment configuration details page in XP but it still shows "Virtual Merchant - Merchant Provided Form" at the checkout so it must be getting this from the module name. So how do I change the module name?

You may need to change it in XC or XP or both

There isn't an option to change the module name in XC. And in XP there is only the option to change the "name" field but not the module name itself. There must be a way since I can't see people being fine with the default module name being displayed to customers.

You can change the name of payment method in XC payment method configure page. I don't know if you can do this for payment methods coming from X-Payments - I can't test this. But if you cannot then this is a bug in the system and you should report it to QT - bugtracker

Ah! I didn't see the "Appearance" tab. All is good now. Thanks for your help.

Yes, you can use the "Appearance" tab to rename payment methods and change the order in which they appear in the storefront to customers.
