Survey Builder from MagneticOne Feedback?
 
We're considering the use of this mod for automated customer feedback/follow-up after checkout. Have any of you used this mod? If not, have you used another solution for customer feedback/follow-up?

Surely someone is using this mod, but perhaps nobody on the forums?

I will contact MagneticOne to see if we can get a demo copy to try out, and if I end up purchasing I'll try to post a review back to this thread.

I just realized that MagneticOne offers a free trial right on the product page, which they automatically send a link for upon registration, so if anyone is waiting for feedback that may be the ticket.

I've already spoken with you on the MagneticOne forums about features I would like to see, which you said would be added shortly, and now I'm just waiting for the latest build to give it a whirl.

To everyone else: Try the demo and make a suggestion, they've been extremely responsive on their forums to feedback.

New version of Survey Builder is available.

Multiple improvements there, here are few of them:
- Cross-Domain Embeded Surveys
Incorporate survey in any other page, even on different domain, even without X-Cart

- Questions Grid
New control type, very flexible

- Complete X-Cart Integration
Link each responce to specific customer or order for detailed campaign tracking

- Survey Scheduling
Get customer responces for any specific amount of time, all time

- Survey Reports
Get reported about survey reponses via email, RSS subscriptions, periodic notifications

- Surveys API - List and Info
Display the surveys list filtered by status and/or name, dynamically retrive the specific survey info via programmatic API

and multiple less important improvements that make it more usable.

I welcome additional feature requests if any.

Does survey scheduling mean that we would no longer need to pair this with your auto-responder to follow up with customers after a specific period of time?

The improvements are great, especially the 'Questions Grid'. One glaring problem, however, is the inability to export the results into a format that's usable. It may be difficult to do with the questions grid, so perhaps a slightly different solution is in order for questions thank rank satisfaction numerically (1 to 10 or otherwise), but simply telling us what percentage of respondents replied to such a question is pointless. Another possibly solution would be the ability to assign a numeric value to each column and use that for further analysis (which would work well if someone wanted to use 'neutral', 'satisfied', etc. in place of numeric values).

I'm not sure I'm making my point clearly, so here's an example. I setup the following question:

"How satisfied are you with each of the following aspects of your purchase from mydomain.com?"
Product Availability - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
Order Tracking/Status Info - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
On-Time Delivery - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10

Each of the numbers is represented by a radio button, and the numbers are listed once along the top as a key. I can now create this question using Survey Builder, which is a great improvement. When I look at the results in the survey admin I can see how many times each specific radio-button was selected. However, if I want to export those results from the survey admin, so that I can actually make sense of them (ex: take an average, or look at the mean), the exported data only tells me the percentage of responses each ROW received (ie: they all show at 20% if you have 5 rows and respondents select a rating for each of the 5 rows). Preferably, I would be able to see some statistical information in Survey Builder, but I would definitely settle for a working export function.

Scheduling is for simplified administration.
You can make sure it will turn off at some specific time or never, allow customer to respond once or multiple times.
Also it will optionally email yourself/admin when survey ends as a reminder.

It's especially important for some time-limited surveys.

Follow-up autoresponder serves different purpose.
