Modifying The Header / Adding a Container
 

I have a lot of experience Wordpressing and almost no experience Xcarting. I really miss Wordpress, to say the least. I need to make a modification to the header of an XCart website using the standard template. This is how it currently looks:



I would like to create a container above the logo image that will hold the account, cart, search, and the company's social media buttons, making the new header look like this:



I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make this work. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial or share some code they're using to do the same thing. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.
