X-payments - test mode
 

I have x-payments (BluePay) configured in test mode.
When I enter my credit card info, including CVV2, I get:

Order declined.
Review your data or contact the store administrator.


Reason: Declined Sale

All CC info was entered correctly.
Is this behaviour normal?

When I configured my xpayments, my merchant account help desk told me NOT to use test mode. They gave me a "fake" credit card number that will be valid to their system - they had me test in live mode, then they voided the transaction before the batch. I remember hearing from others that test mode doesn't always give the results we are after -- but testing in live mode with a fake credit card is how some merchant accounts work... hope this helps.

Actually, I just remember something....
When we tested BlluPay way back, they told us that only odd values will go through in test mode. For instance, $100 will be declined, but $101 will go through :)
Strange, but that's how BluePay operates in test mode.
