How do you change the homepage content?
 

When I go to my main xcart site I see some content that I want to change their but can't figure out where in the world to edit it...

any ideas?

Some content?
Could you be more descriptive?

Is it items you dont want shown, some text, boxes etc?

Also, you need to put the version of xcart you use in your signature.

Go into your Admin section and then click Webmaster Mode, turn it on and visit your main homepage. Click the text that you want to edit, it should be a different color indicating you can edit it.

Hi all

I have read in a number of places in these forums that you can use webmaster mode for editing some of the text (for example the welcome message). However when I try that it changes the text for the webmaster mode session but doesnt actually change the text of the language variable for all other users.

I can use webmaster mode to find out the name of the language variable and then go into the Admin area and change it through Languages. This seems like a long winded way of changing simple text on the site.

Am I missing some obvious way of editing text within the user part of the site? Perhaps there is some reason that the webmaster mode is not working for me?

Hello.

I guess you need to change home page content in the middle.

In most cases it might be text and images in the middle.

If so, you need to edit skin1/customer/main/welcome.tpl

welcome page included in skin1/customer/home_main.tpl just if you need to change everything else.
