BCS Reward Points Problem: Breaks Password Recovery
 
Hi,

Using BCS Reward Points, but installing it breaks the Password Recovery function in x-cart. I even tried it on a clean install of x-cart and it breaks password recovery.

Has anyone has this problem and found a solution? I contacted BCS over a week ago and they still have not proposed a solution. I've heard they have good customer server, but a week is a LONG time to fix an issue like this. The client is losing customers due to this behavior.

We haven't had anyone have this issue before. So I'm surprised you were able to replicate it. I'll see if Henry can look into this tomorrow.

Unfortunately we're a bit low staffed this week on top of 2 of us being well occupied late last week and early this week interviewing for another new position at our company. So we are working to have even more programmers than we already had.

We had 3 out today and will have 3 people out tomorrow, 4 on Friday and 2 on Monday. Part of it though is good news that we'll be announcing soon as one member of our staff is now on Maternity leave and just had a baby on Monday. :)

Sorry you are effected with this. It's a bit harder one to figure out as no one else has reported this problem in 5 years of this module being out.

I am not one of the programmers anymore and I do not do much at all technical support anymore either. You are not waiting on me. You're waiting on availability of our programmers. They are all full until November 1 for custom work and are also very full for technical support. We have replied to you the same day that you have replied to us for this whole incident except for one time and that was yesterday. Gary has done a lot to try to help out with this but it looks like a problem with X-cart or the install so far and not the module. So it will take one of our programmers to look into it. I have already emailed you that Henry will be looking into it today.

I think his point was that while a direct email to your company did not prompt a timely response, a post on this forum did.

PS: I have purchased 2 modules through BCSE and one of them does not work. After 2 weeks I am still waiting on Tech Support to address the issue. I want to say that I am not bad mouthing this company, I think some of their products are a much needed add-on to X-Cart...when they work!! so I am posting here because it seems they do have staff dedicated to monitoring this forum and maybe I'll get a quicker response? Here I am BCSE, please fix the module I purchased from you...

I'm using Reward Points with 4.2.1 and it and password recovery are working ok.

But I have to agree that response times from BCSE have been pretty slow.

I'm sure that they respond quickly to you, but not to me, and others it would seem.

However, unless I've missed something, there's no solution to the OP's problem.
