Kayako integration for X-Cart v3.4.x - 4.1.x
 

Hi everyone!

Here we are publishing login.share integration X-Cart&Kayako - Attachment 434.

It works with X-Cart v3.4.x-4.1.x and it should work with other Kayako versions that support "login.share" technology.

We tested it on Kayako v3.10.02 provided by Kayako's reps.

X-Cart and Kayako are supposed to be installed on the same server.
The Attachment 434 file needs to be placed into <kayako_dir>/includes/LoginShare/ folder on the server.
Then in Kayako admin back-end specify access to X-Cart's MySQL DB:
* Hostname,
* DB Name,
* DB User,
* DB Password

and absolute X-Cart root path (e.g. /u/www/<xcart_dir>/) on the server.

X-Cart Pro 4.13
Kayako 3.10.02

Thanks to all involved who helped make this finally possible!
This took me about one and a half year and cost me around 100 dollars but it works now, I am very happy!

Only thing missing is that besides customers at least providers (X-Cart Pro) can't use their X-Cart login specs with Kayako it seems; any chance of getting this to work as well?

You'd just need to change the code to have type as C or P I think.

Does anyone know if you can integrate Kayako with more than one store hosted on the same server?

Works great ! But how do I get it so if a user is logged in xcart, they are logged in the support system as well. I know there is another thread about this, but it doesn't work in v4.1x

Did you figure this out? I am really considering this option for my site and would like to know if you can be signed into x-cart and it carry over to the help desk without having to sign in again.

Wondering if anyone could help in determining if this option is avaiable for Kayako Hosted SupportSuite rather than xcart/kayako on the same box?
