merchant country not supported error
 
Hi,
I am having hard time solving this error.
I already have "Paypal payments pro" solution purchased with my paypal account and buyers are using it to make transactions through website which are not getting through.
I have integrated Paypal payments pro using X-payments following all the steps given in documentation.

Now there are two ways to make transaction in my website:

1) Using normal paypal which will let buyers redirect to paypal website for transactions. This works fine for me.
2) Paypal Payments Pro ->This let our buyers to process the payment through website only and after payment buyers are redirected to website.

But the problem is that whenever buyer tries to make the transaction using "paypal payments pro" he gets error as "Your merchant country is not supported".

I read about merchant country support on several forums. My merchant account is from Hongkong and I found this link.

Here if you see, in front of paypal payments pro i see hongkong country mentioned which means it is supported. I dont understand what problem is coming though.

Can you please help me sorting out this issue? This is really urgent.

According to information from PayPal developers site Payment PRO doesn't work for Hong Kong anymore.

I'll check with our PayPal rep directly as it seems there is confusion either from our side or from PayPal's one.

I'll post results here.

Thanks for the reply.
I have few questions.

1) If Hongkong is not supported ,then is there any other solution for this?
2) Please also provide reason why this was mentioned in x-payments help forum even if it is not supported by paypal.
3) Can we just change address from hongkong to us,uk or canada and work this out somehow?

Or please provide any other relevant solution for this.

Vaidya, please allow me some time to consult with PayPal reps. Initially they provided us with information that Payment PRO works for Hong Kong merchants. That's why I say about confusion possible.

I do not know what will happen if you change address in your PayPal Payments PRO account. I advise you to consult with PayPal directly.

We figured out after all with PayPal reps.
