• to create a virtual "New products" category shows all products added last week (month, quarter or any other time period);
• to have a personal pop-up notification to inform a particular customer about new products appear since his last visit.

This module is no longer distributed so I publish the latest version here.

The package includes both 4.1.x and 4.2.x compatible versions.
Please note that we don't provide support for this module any more.
It is published under BSD-like license so feel free to use its code as you wish.

No, only new products is reported.
This functionality will be probably added in further releases.

Works well, is it heavy on resources, would my web host have any problems if I continued to use it

Don't suppose you would know if this works on 4.0.5 branch do you???
This is one of those mods that we've always planned on getting done but never got around to writing the specs for a developer.

We didn't tested it on 4.0.x branch but i should say that automatic installation will be failed due to the database incompatibility.
