4 products per row instead of 1 how do I change the default?

Hello,
My x-cart version is 4.0.14 Gold on windows server

I've been searching the forum for days and still haven't found a script that displays 4 or however many product thumbnails on a row then automatically creates another row below the first for the next 4. Something like this: (where x is my thumbnail/product description button)

I found a script posted at: http://forum.x-cart.com/viewtopic.php?t=287 - that displays the products in one long continuous row. By default my products are displayed one on each row. I've seen this product display on
other people's sites, especially like on the featured products area. How did you do it?? I tried making some of my products featured to see if it would display like 3 or 4 in a row, but it didn't instead it was just one product per row. I also read on some forums something about multi-columns. I searched my x-cart manual and didnБ─≥t find anything referring to multi-columns. So I have no idea if that would help.

Any Help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephany

Are you talking about displaying your product list in 4x1 row instead of the default 1x1 rows? If so, this is built into x-cart already. What you do is go General Settings => Appearance Options, then in the spot that says "Display products list in multiple columns (1-3) (leave empty to use standard format):"
Enter how many you want. Also make sure the option below it that says "Display only featured products list in multicolumn format:" does not have a check in it or it will only display on your featured products list.
