Forum Changes

As we look forward and consider opportunities to improve our customer and partner experience, we would like to simplify the current configuration of the forum and associated topics. Topics will be combined into the most frequently used areas, allowing an easier opportunity to locate previously answered questions, as well as a convenient way to follow and offer ideas towards new questions.

The Forum will continue to be a community-led support system. X-Cart is committed to monitoring and providing insight into universal topics while offering direction for more customized support where topics seem related to individual configurations.

Good that somebody from XC has posted something useful (posting anything is noticeable!) in this forum and that the forum layout has been re-hashed etc but part of the re-hash has been that any "tricky" items for XC, all "constructive criticism" items and generally speaking, anything that didn't suit Seller Labs / X-Cart's New Wold Order approach has been 100% deleted. That's true OTT US Style Political Correctness gone mad  but never say never, to a Phoenix rising from the ashes and the forum being used again by all, like it used to be in the good old days...

The key question is....

WILL some / all of the key X-Cart Team Members actively participate now or, just conveniently ignore it completely - 'Elephant in the room" style like they used to do previously? :?:

Our goal is that we check-in daily and provide assistance anywhere we can. The forum is a company initiative, where subject matter experts are consulted on topics requiring additional X-Cart investigation or feedback. Topics related to individual customer configuration or behavior are best directed to our technical support team where additional dedicated time can be spent assisting with investigation. We look forward to partnering with the entire community to help all X-Cart customers obtain the best possible experience!

   Thanks for that generically well worded, corporate style, polite, reply, which.... didn't actually answer the question that was asked :D/ You @memoto have always been an active, informative, helpful XC forum participant, but that wasn't the actual question raised to be fair. The question was about those that are fully accountable & responsible for XC becoming active participants... We're guessing that's a NO then  but we should never say never eh?

I appreciate the cleanup. However, can we keep at least active threads open that have been around for 18 years! For example, our really old thread is now not accessible!

https://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=7200&goto=newpost

We have been THE longest 3rd party supporter of X-cart and have a lot of history in that thread...

Thank you,

Carrie

Re: Forum Changes

It also appears that anything in "List Subscriptions" before December 2019 is locked unless you have posted in the thread concerned 8O

Why?

Is this vindictive of QT / XC / SL or just plain wanting to kill XC4 stone dead forever

99% of the posts are from community users and as the Forum Header says: -

Welcome to the X-Cart forums
Please note that the forum is created to allow users communicating with each other...

Why has QT / XC / SL decided to limit the community?

Madness

Wishing all the compliments of the season

ITVV

Can you or another team member please reply if 4.7.13 is still in development and if it will be PHP 8.0 compatible.

Thank you,

Paul

TBH I think the answers are NO and NO sadly 8O

XC 4.7.?? is, in my opinion, a dead platform now, again sadly :(

Kind regards

ITVV

Hi ITVV,

I just wish they'd man up and let us know one way or the other. Then we can set a plan of action instead of being in limbo...

Have a great day!

Paul
