A GOOD 1 page checkout!!
 

Hello,

Ive been using Altered Carts 1 page checkout, but am upgrading x-cart and it seems Bill has gone out of business and is not sending out software. I ordered and paid for his latest version of 1 page checkout a couple weeks ago, but he has failed to provide the software or respond.

**[UPDATE: My apology to Bill - he did email the software to our 'Main PayPal Email Address' on our paypal account (not the email address I used to order), which went to one of my employees. I hadn't heard from Bill via email, but was happy to find the software.]

Is there a good 1 page checkout available? I hate x-carts checkout because you have to 'click submit' half way through the form and I am sure customers get stuck and frustrated.

I am not sure why qualiteam has never made a good 1 page checkout (a big reason they are loosing customers), but with Altered Cart leaving and Bill providing the source code with all orders, why has no other developer taken over with a good 1 page checkout?

BCSE purports to have one. Maybe give it a go.

We use Bill's Customer Rewards. We also upgraded to his non encrypted version and instead of Bill making it available in your account like normal he emailed it as an attachment. Ours was in our spam folder so maybe yours is too.

Thanks guys. Yes, I like Bill's version (Altered Cart). I will continue to try and get the files from Bill. What I am concerned about is that they will not be supported if needed in the future.

I love your template Phil - I wish you would add Bill's checkout.

I looked at BCEs, but it has the same submit button that you need to press midway through the page. :(

BCSE checkout uses stock XC checkout with some css improvements.
All other 3rd party templates use the stock XC checkout as well.

AC OPC is (was) the only one to be truly OPC. There was another one from MercuryMinds but I believe they stopped developing it few years ago.

None of the AC modules are supported at this time. Anything you may need on any of these modules you can either hire another developer to do it or Bill - either case it will be custom coding billed on an hourly basis.

IMO Bill's checkout is the only one worth using at this time.

We could certainly look into a feature to not have that submit button but we had many issues with it not being there in Altered Cart's OPC. If you'd like a feature request drop us an email.

I really think this is a no-brainer. I think everyone would prefer not having the submit button. The submit button will cost merchants money, because some customers will not be able to figure it out before they just leave. This is why I have always used Bill's checkout.
