X-Payments Question about MySql Database
I just installed x-payments using the same mysql database username and password as my x-cart. Is this correct or does it need to be a SEPERATE database and user? It gave me no errors when i installed it.

Re: X-Payments Question about MySql Database
You will need a definitive answer from someone from QT - hopefully they will respond to you here.
However - I would not risk it. If you are on a shared server, QT recommends that you install X-Payments on a separate server or separate hosting account. As long as you are on a separate account or server, you may as well use a database there where it can be isolated from your store, which appears to be what QT intends. --- |

Don't do this. And not only don't use same username and password - don't use same database. Reason - security. If anyone breaks one of them they will get into the other as well. Keep all separated even though what you did will work just fine |
Re: X-Payments Question about MySql Database
Thank you very much. I will install it on a separate database. In the meantime are you sure using the same database won't corrupt or damage the existing database?
