Remember Recently Viewed Longer
 

Is there a way to extend the amount of time the recently viewed products are remembered and shown?

When I close my site and come back a bit later the recently viewed product still show. However after some amount of time the recently viewed products are forgotten. Is there a way I can extend this amount of time?

I am on 4.5 now and will be upgrading to 4.7.6 soon.

I believe you should increase the session duration in your config file.
XCART_SESSION_LENGTH parameter is the one responsible for this.

Is there any danger in setting the session to 365 days?

I understand:
a. the recently viewed product will always show
b. the cart content will always show
c. the customers address info, if entered in checkout, will always show.

I suspect that logged in customers will remained logged in. I also think my abandon cart mod will stop working as the session is not ending.

Is there anything I'm missing that might cause issues?
