Good news. Will you have a third party verification of any kind (ROC from a QSA) or is this just going to be a claim by Qualiteam of PA-DSS compliance? If no third party verification do you plan to get third party verification and if so when?

Very good news. do you have a time scale for this. Can you confirm if the fashion skin from 4.1 will be css implemented

Is the upgrade recommendation going to be remain with 4.1/4.2 unless necessary?

Hi, just read that proxypay will not be supported any more.

What is the reason for that if I may ask?

I urge you to reconsider

4.3 won't be verified by third parties. We plan to get X-Cart 5 certified by a PA-QSA.

4.3 is planned to be released this spring. It will include a css-based skin similar to Fashion Mosaic.

Upgrade your live stores only if you need new features of 4.2/4.3. New stores we recommend to start with the most recent X-Cart version.

The reasons are as follows:
- a few of X-Cart users use ProxyPay
- we contacted them in order to get the most recent integration documentation but have never received a reply

Certification is an absolute requirement for merchants to be PCI-DSS compliant so that means there is no point in migrating to 4.3 for PA-DSS compliance. Since X-Cart 5 is going to be on a whole new platform that means it is guaranteed to take a fairly long time to get stable. That is going to really squeeze the timeline. I don't want to be scrambling this time next year to implement a still buggy X-Cart 5 to meet the compliance deadline. You should really get a QSA involved for 4.3 to have a stable certified PA-DSS compliant system available this year well ahead of the holiday season so we can get migrated well ahead of our deadline for compliance and have the option to stay with a stable release.

Hi,

How about PayPal Pro for Canada! I can't understand why it's not in the current release of X-Cart already.

Thank-you

Well, I have to say that first of all, the proxypay module works fine for us as it is. If you choose to not support it anymore, I guess your software will not meet our business needs anymore, since our bank uses proxypay.

Secondly, I guess you do not provide many x-cart installations in Greece since you say that few people use it. From my knowledge there are 5 major banks and and also a couple of others that provide online credit card processing in Greece. Here is a list:

EFG Eurobank Ergasias : Proxypay (1st class bank)
Emporiki Bank: Proxypay (1st class bank)
Egnatia Marfin: Proxypay (1st class bank)

Also:
Alpha Bank :Deltapay (1st class bank)
It seems that you also do plan to not support Deltapay, which rules out also Alpha Bank which is the only bank offering online payment through American Express cards.

The choice is yours, but I will once again urge you to reconsider.

Also, If you need it I can send to you the integration guide (PDF) that our bank gave us when setting up the merchant account with proxypay.

Give me an e-mail address and I will forward you the guide and implementation examples (both redirect and also API).
