Installing HotJar code on X-Cart 4.7

Hey guys! Having a really hard time installing the Hotjar code on X-cart. The instructions tell me to place the code inbetween the <head> tag, but I have so far failed to get it to work.

I have viewed some old X-cart threads about similar issues that suggest placing the code in the /customer/home.tpl but I have had no luck getting it to work, and those threads were from 3 years ago so not sure if things are different now.

Ideally I would like to have the code installed on all pages, so I can get data on everything, any insight would be hugely appreciated! :)

Have you tried enclosing the script in {literal}tags{/literal}

thanks for getting back to me paul! ...I would put this in the /skin/home.tpl right? I'll give it a go and let you know how it goes :)

Correct - home.tpl

In your chosen custom skin folder.
