GDPR Module
Hi, I can't figure out where I am supposed to change the cookie consent / checkout consent texts in the admin area? Can someone help?

Re: GDPR Module
It is most likely language variable - look under localization, just search for some of its text

Re: GDPR Module
Ah yeah! Thanks for your answer!

Re: GDPR Module
I'm just wondering, I can't see how we can delete users from XC-5, how do we delete users if need be? According to GDPR regulations, user has right for his data to be deleted.

If it's unconnected to GDPR (and it's XC5 module) e.g. say you want to delete any random users that have created a profile, but then done nothing since, you can do this yourself within XC Admin: /admin.php?target=profile_list Just look for the bin icon (far right hand side of the display) that's shown against each user and utilise that. Assuming here ^^ that your'e only working on your XC5 installation in both cases, like before... |
Re: GDPR Module
Thank you, we are working on XC5 module which should go live next week, fingers crossed. We're excited, and nervous at the same time.
I just wondered as our customer data goes back over a decade and before GDPR module, so most of our past customers would not have had an option to "opt in" for GDPR. So if an older customer before GDPR opt in, who requests to delete his/her data, it seems a complicated way of doing it. Thank you again.. |

Correct compliance with GDPR itself (who does what to whom, when, where and how) will definitely, currently be being debated to death, on a GDPR specialist forum somewhere else... Different ways of deleting a user are covered in the previous post. However, when either a user opts to delete their own data (via the GDPR Module) or, the storeowner (via XC5 Admin) deletes a user manually, you'll find that all the XC5 sales invoices / records / stock control figures etc are still retained (unless they are deleted / amended / updated individually). That does make good sense; i.e. Accounting records / VAT / Sales figures / Individual country's legal requirements etc and as we currently understand it anyway, there's a convenient GDPR exclusion, that covers this particular area. Please feel free to find that other forum, in order to 100% verify this comment though, because we won't be racing you, to see who can find it first  |
