Kosmos - eBay Order Integration
 

Hi All,

Has anybody tried the eBay Order Integration add-on by Kosmos:

I am unable to find any mention of it here in the forums and there are no screen shots of it in use on Kosmos' site.

It seems like a very good solution to include eBay orders with my x-cart orders, but for $150 I would like to 'see' what it can do before I buy - "a picture paints a thousand words" as the saying goes.

Does anyone have any input regarding this third-party add-on.

I have just heard back from kosmos: it appear that the following 2 are the same product:

http://www.kosmoscentral.com/cart/eBay-Orders-Download-Integration.html @ $375

The $175 price tag is no longer valid and they have had to sell the product at $375 as it requires lots of support in order to setup correctly.

I really like the idea of being able to integrate my eBay orders in the same place as my x-cart orders but I'm not sure that I need it enough to justify $375.

I already use eBay Auction Manager by Safetynetweb https://www.safetynetweb.com/Auction-Manager-for-XCART-pr-5.html currently @ $79 which is great for sending data to eBay but not great for getting data from eBay (limited to stats and product qty).


If I decide to pay the $375 - I'll post a review here.

Hi mate, did you go in to buy this product from Kosmos ? What was your experience? It actually costs $450.00 with installation.

I brought it but couldn't get it to work and neither could they, i was refunded in full.

Thanks mate, your information was a great help. We were thinking of getting it installed as the features looked good but if there are problems with it no idea wasting time and money. Thanks,

We have had UK customers use our eBay integration mod before with no problems. We've had one customer who didn't set up eBay correctly and did not give us access in order to troubleshoot. If we can't gain access, then we can't resolve the problem.

On our cart, it states that "If you run into any problems with your integration between eBay and your X-cart store, we will require proper access in order for us to resolve. If after we've been given proper access and are unable to resolve any problems you will then be entitled to a full refund"

I'd like you to know that we (MagneticOne) plan to have eBay addon for Store Manager, so you can have single software to work with Store and eBay.

It will come in October-November 2009 approx.
Will be between $100-200 approx.
Will have basic functions in initial version and grow with time.

We bought this mod yesterday - within 8 hours it was fully installed and working.

I have no affiliation with Kosmos - so the report below is genuine praise.

If you sell on eBay and use x-cart, this is a must have mod - YES it is expensive - but we were looking at having to employ an additional member of staff to run the eBay side of our business.

Now, we will just have to click one button - the orders from eBay are all added as orders in x-cart and we process them as paid orders exactly the same way as any other paid order.

We have a number of bespoke mods on our cart, and it has integrated fine with them all.

I cannot fault Kosmos Central customer support - they have responded promptly to additional questions I had.

We paid for them to install it, and I think it was worth the extra $75 dollars as they did it so quickly.

I have been using this mod for months. it has saved us an ungodly amount of time hand-entering ebay orders.

The Completed ebay transactions come over as Web orders ad are imported into our RMS program automatically. it works.

Only problem is the eBay A PI doesn't do some things. Like if the Buyer marks his auction as paid himself (whether or not he actually did pay) or "checks out" saying he WILL pay in the future, the eBay API returns the complete code and the order is imported with no payment. BAD.
KOSMOS had to change it so the only orders that import are ones where the customer paid with Paypal.

That's OK. 90% pay with Paypal anyway.


Now I need something to take all my SKUS and dump them into auctions on eBay all in one fell swoop. My life would be complete.

Suggestions?
