I am just learning that the hard way, lol
i put http://www.testsite.co.uk
instead of http://www.testsite.co.uk/store
i have just changed the url through the change url link...
does anyone know if the evalution message should now dissapear instantly..... or because its a change of url would it take some time for it to be done?

After you change url, (As per instructions within license) click the register to the right within your license area.

If all goes well yes it will disappear...

Yep...all did not go well, lol, tried that before posting... i thought it may take some time due to the url being changed but if you say it is meant to be instant ill go and play some more with it

just to let future veiwers know this patch is what fixed the evaluation notice problem with me, thanks for the help everyone

i have tried over and over with the registration of the cart and still says evaluation version. i even tried the file here from the post about a fix, did not work, downloaded new zips from my helpdesk and reinstalled it several times and still shows that stupid evaluation message. continually says (Wrong license url).

so does anyone have any other ideas on how to fix this

I would contact QT, also ask if you are getting nowhere to manually remove it if you have a legit License..


For me personally Have never had an issue, so I gather the issues could be due to each users different server con-fig maybe..

I expect they may well overhaul this system, from what I can see with issues..

I just purchased X-Cart 4.4.0 and can't get the evaluation notice off of my cart. How do I: "Make sure that no HTTP-authorization and firewall restrictions are set on incoming HTTP-connections to your X-Cart installation." ?? Thank you for any assistance.

Nice to know that 4 years after the initial post on this topic, it's still a problem. Might be time to look for a better solution QT.
