adding attribute to existing products search
 

Hi,

We want to add a product attribute as one of the search parameters. For example, we have a product attribute called "colour". In the customer end, we have a text box as "search by colour". when the user enters a value as "blue", it has to go and look product attributes and bring in search results.

Guide me how to add/pass this attribute value to existing search parameters to get the results?

Did you check Product Filter and Cloud Filters modules?

Hi,

We tried to achieve with filters only earlier. What we want to achieve is

We need to have two fields/attributes. One is for colour and another one is for Size. In filters, the size field should be textbox where the user has to type the size they prefer. So, if the user types "35", then, it has to bring the products that has the matching attributes of 34, 35 and 36 (+ OR - 1 value). It is range to be applied in filters.

If we can achieve this in filters, that would be really good.

Did you try Cloud Filters module? It has a free plan, so you always can test it yourself and decide if it works as you need (to me it sounds that the module will work for you).
