Banners on categories pages not shop main page not displaying
 

I only want Banners to be on category pages - not the shop home page. I have enabled the Banner Module , added an image set it to Top (and bottom positions) but even though I specify a specific category - it does not appear.

However when I enable nit for the 'home page' - it then appears

Is that by design ? - cant believe it is if I'm honest....

This is a bug in the module. The php script will not find any categories unless "home" is active. I don't know if this is in the bug tracker, maybe it is. I know I had to fix it some time ago for a client.

Ive enabled it for the 'home page' now and it displays on there - here is a note to anyone else using it - banners wont display on any other categories / pages etc unless you not only enable it on the home page - but also select "---Secondary pages" and then actually select some of those categories - then it works.

I had hoped that being the latest version of xcart something like this might have 'just worked' but there again it is xcart we are talking about...... !

Was just getting ready to post this exact same issue. Anyone come up with a fix yet?

As I can see your shop has 4.7.2 version.
Do you have the problem for the shop ?

I cannot reproduce the problem on our demo
