CDSEOPro with PHP 7.1 Beta

Hopefully I am missing something. I had CDSEOPro 2.0.9 with PHP 5.6. I need to upgrade to PHP 7.2 preferably, but could upgrade to PHP 7.1, as my provider is sunsetting PHP 5.6 which is the current IONCUBE that is working with my Smack Digital modules

I just found out from Smack Digital

"As of March 15/2018, the time came for us to move to minimal support. License changes and updates to the latest module versions can be made via your Licenses Area at https://www.smackdigital.com/licenses.php. Additional support, software changes, installations, etc. are no longer be provided.

We thank you for your patronage and for allowing us to support you in your business over the years".

Does anyone have a version of CDSEOPro 2.0.9 that is working with PHP 7.1 or PHP 7.2? And maybe there is hope?

Or, I just need to convert to Clean URLs, and get off of CDSEO Pro.

Am not a 'happy camper' But would be glad, if I am MISSING something.

Re: CDSEOPro with PHP 7.1 Beta

Hi Peggy,

I have my dev store running on PHP 7.2 and CDSEO Pro v2.2.0

You need to download the PHP 7.1+ [Beta] version of CDSEO Pro.

Please see Jon's post here --> https://forum.x-cart.com/showpost.php?p=409658&postcount=20

I have both PHP 5.6 and PHP 7.2 running at the same time. If you need to also please see https://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=76594

Good luck!

Paul

Re: CDSEOPro with PHP 7.1 Beta

THANK YOU!

I just ordered and downloaded

CDSEOPro 2.2.0

But it was for PHP 7.1 Beta. How did you get PHP 7.2?

I'll be installing tomorrow.

THANKS for your help

Peggy

Hi Peggy,

I'm using the PHP 7.1+ [Beta] version of CDSEO Pro with PHP 7.2 and I've not seen any issues. Please let me know if you see any.

Thanks!

Re: CDSEOPro with PHP 7.1 Beta

This may sound a daft question - but do you have to upgrade to PHP 7 at the same you do the install of cdseo pro (7.1)

I'm on xcart 4.7.9 , cdseo pro 2.2.0
I just copied up the cdseo pro 7.1 beta files to my xcart directory and got the message re ioncube errors.

So I ran the ioncube wizard script which came back with
"Loader Installed
The ionCube Loader version 6.1.0 for PHP 5.6 is already installed and encoded files should run without problems."

so my simple question is then - for this to work - I need to upgrade the cdseo pro 7.1 beta files - then get my hosting co to upgrade to php 7.x ?

is that correct ?

I'll answer my own question - I upgraded to php 7 , uploaded the new cdseo pro files etc - and all working fine.

GTMETRIX though gives no speed increase though :(

There are multiple download options of CDSEO v2.2.0, and it will work on PHP 5.6 or PHP 7+, you just need to download and install the appropriate set of files from the license area.

We weren't able to get updates from him anymore so we had to create a replacement for our clients. It is here if that helps: https://www.bcsengineering.com/store/bcseo-search-engine-optimization.html
