Subscriptions

Are there any plans for a module that will allow subscriptions when processed through X-Payments and interfaced with FirstData?

It is possible to set up recurring payments through the FirstData Virtual Terminal. So it seems that should be possible to develop an API that could collect the needed info through X-Cart/X-Payments and transfer the necessary data to FirstData (or other processors). I think this could be PCI compliant since X-Cart/X-Payments does not store CC info.

Re: Subscriptions

It is possible, but requires a plan from QT or a third party to develop such a module: http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=63635

You can vote for a recurring module in LC3 ideas:

There are also suggestions for specific payment gateways in the ideas for x-payments:

Re: Subscriptions

Yes, we have plans to add subscriptions/recurring billing for some of the payment processors supported by X-Payments. FirstData is among them.

Please notice that we will have to pay several thousands certification fee to our PA-QSA for approving such integration as PA-DSS certified. Without such certification we can't release major updates of X-Payments.

So we need your support for X-Payments. I mean word of mouth about X-Payments. Such support will help us to release new major update of X-Payments very soon.

E.g. we are planning features like:
1) recurring billing
2) Chase Paymentech Orbital Gateway
3) AMEX payment gateway
3) Native 3D Secure support for integrated payment gateways.

But the reality is that we as the maker of the PA-DSS certified software can't just release a new X-Payments version. The industry (PCI) requires us to pay multi-thousands USD fee to approve the changes. Verification may take weeks or months.

Re: Subscriptions

We wholeheartedly support X-Payments. We really like that our customers can submit their CC info without having to leave our site. We are a small retailer, but the integration gives our site the smooth checkout process that customers are used to with large retail sites. Yes, the initial investment may seem high, but benefit of the image of a reliable, safe site is worth it.

I would be happy to post this message anywhere it would be helpful so that more sites use X-Payments. It's good for all of us.

Note that X-Payments works with Magento, Zen Cart and osCommerce as well as X-Cart. :-)

RStoelting, Thank you!
I'll do my best to make X-Payments better. E.g. we are planning improved one-page checkout for X-Payments with X-Cart v4.5.2 or v4.5.3 release.

Re: Subscriptions

Also, I want to add that X-Payments is included in our affiliate program - http://www.x-cart.com/become_affiliate.html

Currently we offer 15% commissions (or USD $178.35 out of USD $1189 X-Payments license price), but we are going to change terms and conditions for our affiliate program soon (follow our news feed at http://feeds.feedburner.com/qtmsoft)
