Allowing affiliates to log in to regular store

I recently purchased X-Affiliate after reading so many things about it, but there aren't really a whole lot of options for x-cart.

Anyways, what I am trying to do is allow the affiliates to log in to the main site with the registration info they made when they signed up to be an affiliate. I would also like to apply a different pricing system for them so they can't purchase from the site at a discounted price.

I looked in the sql database and collected the following information.

Regular customers have

Usertype of C

If they have distributor pricing, they will have

membership_id of 2

If they are registered as a partner, the Usertype will now be B and pending_plan will decide which kind of affiliate they are.

I have 2 different affiliate plans so pending_plan will either be 1 or 2.

Is it possible to make the main store allow usertype B to enter the store?

It is kind of difficult to explain, but I did the best I could.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm curious about the same thing.

Can Partners Create an Affiliate Account and also Shop with that account?

-OR-

do they have to also create a Customer Account to be able to purchase products?

I'm hoping they can do both with the same Partner Account.

Looking forward to a response.

It could certainly be done with enough work, but X-cart is not designed this way. Customer, Admin, Affiliate, and Provider accounts are all separate. I do believe that you can use the same account information for both a customer and partner account, but the accounts must be created separately.

I think the easiest way to make this happen is to insert 2 records into the database when a partner registers, one for partner and one for customer. Then they will actually have two accounts, but only have to register once.
