Logo/Masthead
 

I'd like to place the company logo at the top of the left column instead of above it. Can this be done by an amateur XCarter? :o

Yes just move the code that shows the logo from the header to the top of the left column

The top of the left column? Do you mean move the code from the head template to the skin1 css file where the left column is called out, Steve? If so, I tried that and failed. I also tried moving it around in the skin after I deleted it from the head template and that didn't work either. (Thanks, again!)

Skin1.css has nothing to do with all this. In skin1/cusotmer/home.tpl you have 3 sections (if your site uses 3 column format) - left, center and right. Out of the box xcart shows categories in the left section, so you place logo code above category code
