Dont Buy from Ruby mods
 

there mod does not work right i have been very understanding in waiting on them

there currency mod does not work right with cdseo

i will explain i ordered Live currency rates and GeoIP module bundle for X-Cart on 24/12/10 i never got the order until 6/1/11 okay i was okay with this it had been the holidays but after some testing

i sent the following on 9/2/11

i am having some issues

i am useing cdseo and have tryed the other menu option but it has 2 issues

1. when i change currency on cat page it redirects to home i dont want that i want it to stay on its current page

2. if currency is changed on a product page it does not work at all

the did reply and say they will retest and send me a fix i have been waiting over a month with no reply to 2 requests for an update



i am sorry it has come to this i have worked with all the other mod company's and all are great and they have loads of mods to support and i can be a demanding client

just to update i have just got a reply letting me know i will have a fix by monday

What was the outcome of this? I've just purchased the ruby mods currency converter and then read this.

Hi 7th Desire I'm very new to X-Cart and firstly want to thank the developers for seriously saving this newbies computer illiterate butt by providing a good store back bone that seems to have loads of mods and third part developers. I just wanted to say that my install of the mod you are talking about is complete and it seems to be working just fine. I paid the extra $50 for install (I'd no doubt mess it up and after purchasing without install and then reading the instructions I just paid the $50 rather than enter the totally unknown). I found Ruby Mods to be great. They even installed over Easter. The mod looks fine so perhaps you need to speak to a professional about installing it correctly. Anyway thanks X-Cart and thanks Ruby Mods. I've also just purchased another mod from X-Cart works so thanks in advance from them.

I did see it before purchasing but liked the looks of the Rubymod and reasoned because I have very little understanding of X-Cart and am not a programmer that I would prefer a product installed. I guess I believe you get what you pay for in life so as a business I am more than happy to pay for a product that will generate sales. The Rubymod very much suited my needs and that's why I chose it also. Each to their own however and I'd be interested to see what people think of the dynamic converter. At about the same time I purchased the Rubymod I purchased another mod from another company. I'm still awaiting the install that I paid $50USD for from the other company while Rubymods literally began installation over the Easter weekend and kept me up to date. I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another mod from them in the future but may do with the other company.
