Malabi Background Remover
 

We recently updated to 5.3.3.2 and installed this module. Set up the subscription account, entered the user ID and token then...nothing. On our images there is now a selection to "remove background" bit clicking on it does nothing. Tried in Chrome, FF and IE with the same result. Sent support email to Malabi and have had no response.

Is anyone using this module or know if it is still active?

In fooling around a little more with it, I’ve discovered that if I update anything to do with the product: description, alt tag for the image, etc. – anything that invokes the “Update Product” button in X-Cart. After clicking the “Update Product” button, if the first thing I do is click “remove background” Malabi will remove the background from image (I can see it under the grayed out area) and I get the “Background removed successfully. Uploading resulting image” pop up message. Unfortunately, I have the spinning “circle” gif and the image never updates on the site.

After nearly two weeks, I have given up on Malabi working for me.
Tried it in different browsers, on different computers and at different locations and it still does not work for me.
Contacted the developers and received a reply two days later with a link to the YouTube video tutorial.
Subsequent emails were not returned. Will request a refund.
