remove USPS shipping options

How do I go about limiting the USPS shipping options to show only priority and Nextday ? Right now it returns a bunch of options I don't want to offer. In X4 you could choose which rates to show in the cart. I can't find it in x5

Modules -> USPS -> switch to 'Carrier services' tab
There you will be able to turn on and off specific shipping methods.

Store setup> Shipping> USPS. Make sure to turn "Auto enable new USPS shipping methods" to off at the bottom of the page. Then go to the carrier services and you can control what is active.
