If you create a role and give it the permission to manage the catalog, users having this role will be able to manage brands.

Please could you clarify what simple search engine you mean? Is it the input box displayed in the header on storefront pages?

Also, do you mean searching for brands, or filtering search results by the specified brand?

Yes, at the input box displayed in the header on storefront pages.
If someone does a search by brand, it is not easy to find it.

The default search function that is built into X-Cart 5 doesn't look into product attributes (and brand is just a product attribute in this case). Technically it is possible, but will require creating a custom module.

Also, as far as I know, this service does look into product attributes and may help you:

If you have less than 100 products it will be free for you (and you can try it for free on a test X-Cart installation).

Is there an easy way to change the Brand image size inside the product page. Seems very small.

You are to create a small custom module and overwrite getLogoWidth() and getLogoHeight() methods from \XLite\Module\QSL\ShopByBrand\View\Product\Details \Brand class.

Also, you can use Webmaster Mode to edit the modules/QSL/ShopByBrand/brand/icon.twig template and hardcode the new image size there.

I already bought and installed the cloud search and solved the search of brands as you said it.
But now I can not translate the phrase "Manufacturers" at the search, can you tell me how I can do it?

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what phrase you mean. Where does it appear?
I guess it is not my module that displays it, so it makes sense to consult with Cloud Search developers on this matter.
