Adding a slideshow
 

Hello all,

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to add a slideshow to x-cart 4.5? Are there any tutorials around that would help me implement one? Thanks! :D

Have you already picked out a slideshow that you want to use?
If you have, all you have to do is put the script tags in head before </head> and create a .tpl file where you will have all the slideshow code and put it in welcome.tpl

I have not. Can I use any one or does it have to be specific? I was looking at Flash Slideshow Maker....

You can use that but it won't work on Mac...

OK i tried the jQuery one but it isn't showing up. What could be the issue? I followed the directions given however it really wasn't that clear as to where to upload the files to. Should it be in the skin that I am using? I assumed it was skin/common_files/customer. I made a new directory for banners...

You upload in the same way they are provided.

How would I place one in a specific place? For instance I would like to replace the welcome_picture.jpg in the Ideal Comfort template. Do I still put the code above the </head> tag?
Sorry for the confusion but I'm pretty new at using x-cart and out of practice coding. :oops:
