Addons Comming?
 

I find myself looking for features that are available as addons to x-cart 4 but not 5.
Should I expect that these will be available soon, or is it a big deal to port an addon from 4 to 5? The two vendors I contacted don't have plans to port their add-ons.

I have a few items that have to be split into separate boxes to be shippable via UPS, for example.

XC4 and 5 are completely different platforms and it is not an easy task to "port" a module from 4 to 5 - basically the module has to be re-coded from scratch, like it never existed.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but, when editing a product, you can configure it to be shippable in a separate box having its own dimensions (also you can choose how many units fit the box). However, the shipping method will be the same for all such boxes in the order.
