Developer Challenge with $20K in prizes

I've published this into the private developers forum, but I guess this may be interesting for other X-Cart users either.


I'm happy to announce the launch of Developer Challenge!

We welcome all X-Cart module developers to participate in the Challenge and take part in the X-Cart future by creating cool modules for our new e-commerce platform that we will use for X-Cart!

The prizes are:
1st place - $9,000
2nd place - $7,000
3rd place - $4,000

The contest sounds really cool! Thanks xplorer.

Are there already lots of entrants? I'm curious as to how many developers out there are competing for this. Give a shout out if you are going for it. :)

I also wonder if anyone in the community here has any suggestions as to what they would like to see in a killer mod. I've got ideas, but I would think store owners would know better what they want than a dev.

Good luck all, I may participate if the right mod idea surfaces, either in my mind or through suggestions.

Although there are multiple users registered for the Challenge, only a few have submitted their module ideas yet.

We would be happy to see a killer mod! But you may win with "just a good module doing its work well" becase LiteCommerce is a somewhat new solution and it can be improved in many areas. I believe that if you check what X-Cart 4.x features are missing in the new solution and what users ask at http://ideas.x-cart.com/ and http://ideas.litecommerce.com/ you'll find a great module idea :-)

You probably don't need to duplicate mod ideas here - there are links to Ideas Tracker and Planned Improvements on the page that was provided.

Good point gb2. I just explored the ideas page, I love the fact that users can vote for the mod they want the most. Get out and vote today!
