Just about all that and a bag of chips! Can't wait for the production release. :D

If only this code had been available 6 months ago I wouldn't have had to work so hard on the customizations we went through for our site. :P

I hope the Authorize.Net security features I requested in the Wish List forum get into the final release. I like the new Authorize.Net blowfish encryption. :o

Is it just something I'm overlooking, or are UPS Account details settings missing from General Settings/Shipping Options in 4.0.0B1?

Registration with UPS Online Tools worked. And I can set Rates and Service Selection. But where is the form to enter UPS server, username and password?

After setting things correctly in UPS Online Tools, trying a realtime shipping test with just UPS on results in:

Javascript errors with IE 6.0
 

These are not a problem with Firefox (Mozilla) .9 but they are with IE 6.0

1. On the "Checkout: Step 1 of 3" when you try to login in under "Authentication" the submit button does not work.

2. Was having some problems with the "State" field not showing when trying to register. I reinstalled Xcart and it fixed this but something I did caused the State field to stop working. I'll post more if I find out.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but a second 'Address' line would be handy... A lot people use it for apartment numbers or delivery to businesses.

If I understand right beta release means no more addons or changes before it goes production, except for bug fixes :-k

Would be nice to see some more features like::

:arrow: few options added to Featured products section in Admin:

How about taking the product review and place it some iin the menua areas either in the rigth or left menu.

Ramdom display of product reviews on product pages.
Way for the customer to look at all the reviews all at once.

I think this also should apply to product rating

Guys try to remember to not just post Wishlist stuff here but actually findings on the Beta as is.

While nothing is ever bug free, I'm sure X-Cart has asked for our help so that they can launch a relatively stable product.

I added a membership price for the wholesale account
and if i searching for something i get everytime the error

I have some suggestion for x-cart team

- add "order user profiles options" or add column in user profiles options

in order to define required fields if the user this carrying out a purchase, independently of which usuary he is registered or not
he is very useful not to ask too many data the user if simply it is wanted to register, and single more specific data are asked for to him if it carries out a purchase.
really: to ask for certain data to the client when it is really necessary

- add to the recommended, related and upselling product list thumbnails, and the possibility of adding them to the car
I created a free mod of these characteristics, in case it serves to you like example :wink:

- add search by BRAND
free mod already exists, would be a good example

- add meta tag field in product management section
very recommended when we generate HTML-catalog
also very useful if east hidden field in the finder is included.
it will help to that the clients find any product, and also those that interest to us that they find, in our store :wink:
I already implemented it in my store and I guarantee to you that the finder very is used in her

- add a pursuit of words introduced in the finder
it would be the perfect complement to the previous suggestion :wink:

- a manager of customers reviews

I have been testing this site two and when you import products it adds the products but does not add any categories. When you do create categories manualy it will not allow you to deleate them you get this error?

INVALID SQL: 1054 : Unknown column 'categoryid' in 'where clause'

Nochex Gateway
 

I've tried proccessing a real payment transaction you get an SQL error on the transfer from your website to the nochex website how ever it does transfer. I could not copy the error as it loads the nochex gateway up very quick.


And this error when the payment has gone through and it transfers you back to your website?

Just installed the beta and I am totally blown away. You guys caught so many of the needed upgrades and enhancements.

I saw one thing that you absolutely have to fix. Please make the option to Compile Templates more obviously UNDESIREABLE. Too many users work on their store and then think they should compile templates. Frequently this limits their abillity to continue to edit via language variables. The text surrounding this needs to be bettered to communicate effectively that compiling is unreversable to modified templates.

We could also use the option to copy our modified templates to the skin1_original directory as masters. After all, we can always download our distribution again if we need to restore the default, but for people like myself with so many modified templates, it becomes key to have the abillity to restore my "Last Known Good Configuration".

Most importantly please split Nunavut and the Northwest Territories up for Canadians. These are two different shipping zones with different Shipping rates. They should NOT be lumped together.

I haven't found bugs yet, but I also haven't played much. John80y and I are gunna mess around with this thing and see what we can screw up. ;) \:D/

That just gives you a general admin screen with the main area empty. This is the case on Firefox and IE

Manufacturer Bug
 

There seems to be a bug with setting the manufacturer for a product.

It doesn't stick. When you select a manufacturer and press update it brings you to the main product screen, but the setting does not stick. If you go back to the Manufacturer option for the product, it is set to "Manufacturer is not specified"

they need to get the modules working in 3.5.9 1st, otherwise the upgrade from 3.5.7 to 3.5.8 to 3.5.9 works but WOW what a thrill ride that was

Logic Bug in "quantity selectbox"
 

There seems to be a logic bug in the quantity select box on the Admin > General settings > Appearance options

The option "Maximum number of selections in quantity selectbox" shows one more than the option.

For example I put "10" in there, but it shows "1-11" in the select box.

I put "9" in the setting and it shows "1-10"

card expire
 

I'm using ver 3.5.4 right now and not sure if this has been addressed in later versions, but the card expire info in the check out process needs to be selected by drop downs and not a customer entry. I get more failed orders from this than anything else. Most people just give up. I'd guess I've lost a few thousand over this one alone.

same problem here, the good thing is that there is a hack floating around somwhere that adds a drop down menu

I've not installed the Beta1 yet, but hopefully the mustard yellow nav bar in the admin/provider area was redone, is my main gripe as well as Modify Product added back to the Invetory menu, I think I go to that text link the most. :)

Bug with states
 

Ok, I thought I posted this already but I can't find it. Excuse if this is a duplicate.

There seems to be a bug with the javascript "State" selector when a customer is signing up

The "State" field is gone, There is no drop down list. This must be a javascript error as I get an alert from IE that "Object Expected"

This seems to only be a problem with IE as mozilla/firefox works fine.

Just as a side note, there seems to be several other javascript errors with this version, thanks.

In the Admin side under "Product Search" when selecting no catagory and selecting "search" this error appears at the top.

I noticed that the documentation for 4.0 at the x-cart site is not really 4.0. Does anyone know when the new docs will be released?

X-Cart releases documentation very slowly.

You would be better off asking them through the support helpdesk when you can expect 4.0 documentation.

4.0.0 documentation is in the file area of your support helpdesk.
