Does anyone else have any problems getting the social login to work with 5.2.5?

Here is a screenshot of the settings that I am using but I am not getting any social login up at the top. Any suggestions?

Surely we do not have to setup BOTH the FaceBook AND the Google Logins, right?

It works just fine on my store. Facebook Social login is displayed correctly.

Could you please check for error messages in php_errors and xlite files in <X-Cart>/var/log folder?

If there are no error messages, this problem should be thoroughly investigated and I would recommend contacting our support team at support@x-cart.com about that.

Thanks Tony,

I have looked at the logs but quite honestly I have NO idea what I am looking at let alone what I am looking for in here. Each of them have several entries. If you would not mind could you take a look at them and maybe you can tell me what I am looking for? I am attaching the files for the 14th and 15th for both the php_errors and the xlite logs.

Thank you and please let me know what it is that I am looking for in these.

I see the failed log-in attempts in the logs, but no details that could explain why this happened.

Did you follow the instructions at http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/Setting+up+Facebook+Login+for+your+store ?
It may be that your Facebook app is not configured to accept requests from your site's domain.

If this doesn't help, you need someone who could debug the problem right on your server. Our support team can do this for you: support@x-cart.com

Good morning. I am attaching the 3 images, 1 of the screen shot from the FaceBook app developer settings as well as the status page from FaceBook and also of the settings in xCart. I have verified the "Secret Key".

Ok, actually after I disabled the eBay module the items now do have the "Like" and "Share" buttons but there is still no social login up at the top of the pages.

Hello Todd,

Could you please try to remove and then install back the Social Login module? The odd thing is that your settings form looks differently compared to mine, so I think it might be some problem caused by upgrade.

I too am having the same issue, I did delete it and reinstall it. This did not help my solution at all :(

Did you follow the instructions to configure the module? See the links at the bottom of this article: http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/Social+Login

I even deleted the previous app and recreated the app over again following the instructions and it still doesn't work. I get to fb and it allows me to approve it, but when I get back to x-cart it says "Error:We were unable to process this request"

As far as I know, it's a bug, it will be fixed in the new 5.2.7 version (https://bt.x-cart.com/view.php?id=44980).

I am getting a different error. Whenever I try to login with Google it gives me a "Error:Please sign in with PayPal." message.

I tried to login in your X-Cart store using our Google and PayPal accounts - it worked without errors. Please remove all cookies and clear cache in your browser, then try again.

Ok I found the problem. If you sign in with paypal that has the same email address as gmail, it wont let you sign in via gmail. Shouldn't it not care which method you use as long as the email account is on file and has been authorized via Google's OAuth 2.0 API?

I would suggest to report this issue to our bug-tracker (https://bt.x-cart.com), and there provide detailed (step-by-step) instructions how the issue can be replicated, and also specify what is the actual and expected behavior.

I am using Xcart 4.7.5 GOld.
I have enabled Social login. But when i logged in with Google/Facebook,after login it return to my register.php and when i enter the details, when it is submitted , it gives msg that Profile is updated, but returns to same register page. Is it working like that always or do i am getting any error ?

Do we have live demo of Social login ?

Was this problem solved?

Error: We were unable to process this request
After trying to log in with a Facebook account.

My social login module / Facebook was working perfectly until a normal version upgrade was done. Problem was unnoticed until a customer gave us the heads up.

Still after doing xcart technical stuff procedures like,
-erasing the social modules from cart
-installing them again
-deleting facebook app
-generating a new Facebook app
-Logging in as a new Facebook integrator account
-creating new apps following the instructions

Still we are having the same error, it seems that Facebook have changed their procedures and this new data has not been incorporated on document

After doing all the testing to log in with a Facebook account, I tried doing the same as XCART DEMO STORE and the problem is the same. It displays the same error as on my page.
Error: We were unable to process this request

It seems that the Facebook login function doesn't work in the online demo too.
I've reported it to the XC5 dev team.

Just switched to the new Single Sign-On OAuth2 module. No documentation that I could find anywhere and it was complicated to get it hooked up to Google and PayPal but I eventually did and it's pretty nice. Just giving you another option.

I'm facing the problem of update to the latest version as prompted, but it would stopped at the process "Installing updates, please wait..."

I'd tried to uninstall the module and now even worse, can't re-install it back, stuck at the same process "Installing updates, please wait." : (
