Hi Steve, Very cool!!

Questions:
1. My subcategories are my actual products with the products under that subcategory being individual specimens of that subcategory product. Could I install on a category / subcategory page instead of a product page?

2. Is it set up to be responsive?

Thanks!

Paul

@Paul

1. No, it works on products. Since category is just a container there is nothing specific to ask about it. Customer buy products not categories. You may have setup your cart to show category as product info but at the end no one is buying that category - they buy the specimen right?

2. It is built on top of stock XC (just like any other module) so it is responsive as much as XC is. It will take in general your skin design/layout and even if it needs some adjustments - the responsiveness is all in the css so with few changes you can make it fit your custom skin. The module has its own css.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your reply. Yes they buy the specimen but since each product is a unique one of a kind specimen it winds up getting deleted to add new specimens for sale. My situation is rare but there are a few of us with unique one of a kind specimens that have to use subcategories as the actual product.

Thanks again!

Paul

Ya that's a pickle... The module entries are to tied in to product ids, making it show on category will require some work. I can probably swap the product id with category id for you but it will still require some additional work. Open a ticket if interested and I can take a look at this for you.

Strong design skills were brought to bear on this. The operation and implementation looks well thought out and feature rich. Very nice work Steve.

Re: Product Q&A module for X-Cart Classic

hi steve,

is there a way to copy a question/answer made in a product to other products?

Re: Product Q&A module for X-Cart Classic

There is no way in the module itself. You can do this directly in the database though. Or enter the info manually from admin. Since this module's goal and questions are product specific I don't see the need for that.
If something like this is needed that would be more of a global store FAQ and there are other modules or ways to accomplish this.

If you need this specific one to work like this I can additionally custom code it for you to extend your version of the module.

Re: Product Q&A module for X-Cart Classic

It is rare to see discounts on cflsystems.com since I believe my modules are priced just right and low. I may have some discount or coupon but again this like once or twice a year.

And let's be real how discounts work in general. I can price the module at $200 and offer 50% discount so the price drops to $100... Does this means you get a deal? Certainly not.

This is a great module and not expensive. But if you think you can wait until New Year.... :)
