Just put our very first BCSE Template up on our store yesterday! After 13 years of working with X-cart we've finally released a template of our own!

Our Mobility Template is a highly configurable Responsive template based on Foundation.

Exciting news! We're still adding more features and the latest one is pretty cool! You can now use the mobility template for your mobile site only! Easily switch it to only be active on mobile devices and keep your current skin for your desktop!

Wow, I don't know how I missed this. Looks great Carrie.

I really like the interface, and all the built in customization options.

I have to ask, is the code encrypted in any way? Any need for ioncube or are you going to embrace open source? If there is no encryption, I will be recommending this to everyone.

am I missing it, or does the demo not have wordpress integration shown somewhere?

Also, is this compatible with CDSEO Pro, altered cart mods (OPC, On Sale, Smart Search, etc)?

Glad to to know mobility template adding new features frequently.
Instant search effect looks very cool too. I hope it will search manufacturer search too
Can I suggest to improve functionality in following 3 area
1) Please make product thumbnail clickable...currently if product page will be open only if you click on product name.

2)When customer click on tab it should remember the preference..on other product page same type of tab should be open like on previous product tab

3)Please provide different color box to "your cart" box so that it could be easily identify.

I don't think we have the wordpress demo up on the 'demo' site yet, just the internal testing. I'll see if we can get that soon!

Yes it should work with most mods. I would be surprised if it didn't work with those. The mobility does have it's own unique OPC as well you may want to review.

We'll get more products into the demo so the instant search is more obvious. We've tested it with over 10,000 products and it performs very well. We're expecting it to perform well for upto 50k products. Possibly more. Definitely can do more though with tweaking.

Here's a great example of the mobility template with minimal skin code customizations. Most was done in the configuration area of the skin! We also have it integrated into Wordpress too for her!

Did you know, our Mobility module has Schema.org data already built in? Great for SEO and auto product information updates to Google Shopping(if you have that option enabled in google)!

I see a mobile mod and a mobility template. Are both needed? Whats the difference? Is the mobility template just a normal template and not exclusive for mobile devices?

Both are not needed. The Mobile Mod is a quick way to establish a mobile-only version of your site. The Mobility Template on the other hand, is a responsive template which allows your site to display according to the device it is being viewed upon. I hope this sufficiently answers your questions.

Mobile specific templates makes sense for sites that do not want to completely overhaul their existing non-responsive template but still want to cater to mobile devices. Responsive templates like the Mobility Template are the better way though, it caters to all screen sizes, big and small.

And technically the mobility module could be used as a mobile only module if you want. There is a config option to have it not show on desktop view. So if you already have an established look and feel and site, and want to keep your desktop version, it can be used in mobile only mode.

The mobile mod is mostly there for those with really old shopping carts that need a quick and cheap solution until they get a chance to upgrade.

This looks promising... We currently have X-Carts Mobile Skin running on our highly customised web site but we're not happy with it. We plan to possibly use your Mobility Template instead but we're wondering how difficult it would be to setup the Mobility template on a highly customised site?

If you'd prefer we could also quote the implementation as well. We've used it on several very customized sites without issues but there was some extra work, as with any new skin, in implementing the customizations in various places.
