X-Cart Next beta testing

Hi!

We are about to start X-Cart Next beta testing and wonder whether there are X-Cart 4 users wishing to try our new product and provide us with positive or negative feedback :-)

We will grant one X-Cart Next license for free and two licenses with a great discount to the top 3 users reported important bugs.

Please reply here and I will PM you details.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Vyacheslav Petrov,
XCN/LC3 team

I'd be happy to test it but don't know if I am at the level of these guys for finding bugs. I definitely could test usability, functionality and overall aesthetics.

Just installed. Quite happy with the way things are done especially programming logic. Have to see the bugs and start looking at them.

I can see, we can expect a major release/change in 2-3 months.

Hi,

Just visited next.x-cart.com. It is launched. Not aware of it. I can see there are 3 sites already in live using this. Can you confirm are they real stores? Would you recommend now this version to new stores/sites?

These are live shops built with LiteCommerce 3 that is very close to X-Cart Next from the programmer's point of view. X-Cart Next has more features, and LC3 can be considered as "lite" Open Source version of XCN.

Yes, we would be happy if you create new shops with X-Cart Next. There are LC3 sites working successfully already, so we believe X-Cart Next (that is based on the new 1.1.0 version of the platform) is ready for production use (after the beta testing, of course :-) )

Hi!

Thank you for participating in beta testing!

If you experience problems with getting into http://bt.litecommerce.com/ you may log in at http://bugtracker.qtmsoft.com/ and choose "X-Cart Next / LiteCommerce 3" as the product to report the issue for.

Re: X-Cart Next beta testing

Vyacheslav,

I'm lost now! Wheres the mention of this on Facebook Litecommerce page?

What about us that have been struggling through the bugs?

Is this LC Version 1.1.0 or is it a different product?

Before it was simple, I could see where it was going. Now I'm not so sure. Please fill in the gaps. What is different?

For those about to test it you should be pleasantly suprised. I've been using LC for a few months now and apart from one or two stinkers (which should be gone now), the bugs are now few. It works nicely!! I'm happy with it.

Thank you for the kind words :)

We will announce it on the LiteCommerce FB page when XCN is ready for use.

LC3 and XCN share the same core (1.1.0), but XCN is not Open Source and comes with extra features (which may later be released as paid modules for LC3) under a commercial license.

Does this means when XCN is released code will be encrypted?

The source code will be 100% open (not encrypted), but the license won't be Open Source.

Vyacheslav,

First bug posted :-) :-)

Will the LC Drupal Connecter be included in the XC install at a later date?

Maybe LC1.1.0beta is a better option for those that want to go in that direction. It looks the same to me just now.
