Is RubyMods still an active business? not getting a response from them..
 
Do any of you guys have the contact details for the owners of RubyMods.com?

I have purchased an add-on from their website and require help with installation. I have opened up a helpdesk ticket and also messaged them in this forum, but with no response.

Your help is appreciated!

Keep trying to contact them and if you don't succeed (I hope you will), share here you problems. Maybe we can help somehow.

They typically take 1-2 weeks to respond. Good mods, lousy support.

Hydrogin - Yes we're alive and kicking. Your ticket is updated.
Balinor has a point, on occasion a ticket does not get replied to in a time frame that is acceptable, but the majority do. An area we need to do better on!

Seems I am encountering the same slow and lousy support with an X-cart problem, 11 days and counting. If we treated our customers like this we woudl be out of business!!!

Currently we have spent time and money on GeoIP and until the support problems are fixed then we have just wasted $$$ and effort...

Adam got back to me with an initial response on my ticket in less than 24 hours. I thought that was great, but now we're at almost a month with no resolution and no further responses.

I have to say that the response times are terrible - we have a new site launch in a few weeks and at this rate we will be dumping RubyMods GeoIP as not working and non-supported!

The response I received fixed the Admin screen which is great but the customer facing functionality just does not work...!

My guess is that RubyMods is one person doing the work as some money on the side from a main job, hence the lack of responsiveness. Certainly not a good option for anyone running a serious business that needs professional support behind the software they purchase.

Exactly why we stopped buying mods from them and continue to steer our clients away from them. Imagine what would happen with a critical issue? No thanks, I prefer to deal with companies that support their products FULL TIME.

Adam, if you want to be taken seriously in the X-Cart community, you need to do a LOT better with your support and response times. You always say you are going to do better, but here we are years later with the same complaints over and over.

Adam fixed our issue with the Currency Rates mod last night or early this morning and it seems to be working fine now. I'm really impressed with the mod. If the support times and communication from Rubymods could improve, I think they would really be top notch.

Unfortunately I am back to almost a week between communications and still do not have a working mod after over a month and our Go Live date is fast approaching. We are now considering dumping this mod and getting our money back if it is not fixed in the next couple of days - instead we will code our own solution because at least we can rely on ourselves...

Last response on this ticket was that you would get back to us with a status (on the 13th). We have not received any further info from you.
Let us know what else you need (via the support ticket svp), and we will get back asap.

FYI - RubyMods had/has a problem whereby their support system was not sending out emails and also not capturing replies to emails which has been contributing to the communication problems - I suggest until this is fully resolved that people needing support post their replies to tickets directly in their support system and also check it regularly for updates.

I am please to say that Adam has now resolved my problem and at last we have a working GeoIP addon for X-cart Pro V4.4.1. Turns out the original distribution received was fine for V4.4.4 but not our version. Now to get this into our Production site build...
